American bison

Bison bison

The American bison is often also called Indian buffalo and is the biggest terrestrial animal of North America. He is regarded as the typical prairie cattle today and also populated woods to before almost his complete wiping out in the 19th century.

In the 1700s about 60 million bisons were dragged through the North American prairies. The settlement got the bison for the disaster from North America by the “white” ones.

Bison aren’t looking for her refuge unlike other hoof animals at a threat in the flight but rely on her imposing appearance and the dangerous horns.

Bison are kept predominant in parks and reserves today. So they are no longer considered endangered.
