Lynx lynx lynx

The lynx is an excellent climber, so it is often seen on trees. Although lynxes are mainly active at dusk and night, they easily get used to a different rhythm when living together with humans.

After people had exterminated the last European lynx in the low mountain ranges, animal rights activists began with the resettlement in Austria in 1976. Shortly after, they began to realise that the lynx does hunt deer and chamois. But since most of the hunted down animals are sick or inured the lynix actually corntibutes to maintain the health of the fauna.
